Da Nang Outdoor Adventures Terms & Conditions 2024
All bookings are subject to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read the Booking Conditions and information contained in our booking form/brochure/website/email confirmation carefully, as these form the basis of your contract with Da Nang Outdoor Adventures, and set out the respective rights and obligations of both parties. In the following Booking Conditions, ‘you’ refers to the “Group Leader” booking the Activity, ‘the Customer(s)’ refers to all the member of the party and ‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘the Company’ refers to Da Nang Outdoor Adventures (DNOA).
By submitting your booking, you represent to us that you have the authority to make the booking on behalf of your party and that you accept, on behalf of you and/or your party, that the booking is subject to these Terms and Conditions. A contract exists as soon as we issue our Booking Confirmation Form.
- The Booking.
When booking any lesson or course with Da Nang Outdoor Adventures a contract is made when the booking is confirmed in writing or email by us. In the case of telephone bookings when a written confirmation is not possible then the agreement is a verbal contract.
Unless by booking of a Private Lesson or Activity package to meet your personal requirements we require a minimum of 2 people to run any Da Nang Outdoor Adventures surfing and kayaking activities. Please be aware when booking, that your lesson may need to be rescheduled to accommodate you within a group setting.
Online Booking: once booked online an email will be sent to you as a confirmation of booking.
- Changes to Bookings.
If, after your full payment/deposit has been received, you wish to change your course in any way, we will do what we can to reasonably accommodate such changes, but it may not always be possible. If you or any member of your party is unable to proceed with the course, you can transfer the booking to a substitute person, provided they satisfy all the conditions applicable to the original booking and your request is received by us at least 1 day prior to commencement of the course. Any request for changes must be made in writing and signed by the Group Leader. You will be liable to pay any costs and/or expenses that we incur in making this alteration, which will be detailed in booking alteration email. Customers wishing to add people to a party after the initial booking will only be able to do so if sufficient spaces are available. Availability should not be assumed and you should first contact us to check availability. The price of your course may increase or decrease to reflect your requested changes. Note that a reduction in party members attending a course will not necessarily result in a reduction of the price of your booking.
- Conditions.
Any outstanding payment amount, if applicable, is to be paid to Da Nang Outdoor Adventures directly upon arrival and before any activities commence. For inquiries regarding changes to an existing reservation, please contact Da Nang Outdoor Adventures directly. Please do not bring your valuables while surfing. We have lockers at the surf shop and activity centerfor customers to leave their valuables. We are not responsible for lost, stolen and/or damaged items.

The maximum duration for a Group Surf Lesson and all Private Surf Lessons is 2 hours. Lessons may end before the full 2 hours due to a variety of external factors including, but not limited to weather conditions, currents, rips and tides. We do, however, guarantee a lesson of at least 1 hour in duration. No refunds are offered for completed work.
The maximum duration for a Taster Surf Lesson is 1 hour. Lessons may end before the full 1 hours due to a variety of external factors including, but not limited to weather conditions, currents, rips and tides. No refunds are offered for completed work.
The maximum duration for a Kayaking Splash & Dash Session is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Lessons may end before the full 90 minutes due to a variety of external factors including, but not limited to weather conditions, currents, rips and tides. No refunds are offered for completed work.
The maximum duration for a Kayak & Snorkel Tour is 3 hours. This tour may end before the full 3 hours due to a variety of external factors including, but not limited to weather conditions, currents, rips and tides. No refunds are offered for completed work
Age limit.
Kids Surf Lessons: The minimum age for a group surf lesson for kids is 8 years, if you have a child who is younger than 8 years old we require them to havve a private lesson for safety reasons. The maximum age for our Kids Surf Lessons is 16 years old.
Group Surf Lesson: This Surf Lesson is for all ages but children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult during a beginner group surf lesson otherwise we do offer Private Kids Surf Lessons. Minimum age for our surf lessons is 8 years old. 6 & 7 years old may join but must book a kids private surf lesson.
Swimming Ability
Surfing & Kayaking: It’s ideal if you can swim 50 metres. If this is not the case we do ask that all participants have a reasonable level of open water confidence which would suit our lessons. Lessons are held in waist depth water, which make the activity safe and fun regardless of your swimming ability. For kayaking activities every participant must wear a lifejacket/ buonancy aid (pfd) for the whole time of the activity. If they are kayaking participants cannot remove their lifejacket unless under the explicit instruction of the DNOA staff. For Surf Lessons – Group/Kids/Private we can supply lifejackets for people who are not confident in the water so that they can participate in the surf lessons.
